I am new to the forum but am writing to ask if someone would be able to give me the benefit of their experience and expertise in regard to expanding my current sphere of business.
I live in Bristol and am looking to expand my current business in project accountancy to include some small contracts providing a preparation of accounts service. I am a CIPFA accountant and have spent my career within the public sector; therefore although I believe I have the knowledge to provide this service I lack practical experience. When I contacted AAT they suggested the idea of shadowing an accountant/accounts technician currently providing this service to gain some this practical experience. Following this initial period I could hopefully also assist for a short time with current contracts which would assist us both.
